Advantages of referring cases to Dr M. Colombat
M Colombat is the referring pathologist for amyloidosis and pulmonary LCDD in France with an experience of 10 years.
She has developed for several years a mass spectrometry-based proteomics method for amyloid typing.
She has now an experience of more than 600 cases correctly typed using this method.
She used laser microdissection to select the amyloid deposits from a formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue and a mass spectrometer to identify the proteins contained in each sample.
